Case Study: Christmas company party for potential contractors of Radisson Blu Hotel ***** combined with a hotel tour and tasting of culinary specialties.
Client: Radisson Blu Hotel ***** looking for an innovative way to present their venue to potential contractors
Participants: 24 people

TASK FOR THE ESCAPECITY TEAM:

Another very interesting order from Radisson Blu Hotel ***** (we had previously delivered a mobile escape room during a boat cruise and a city game combined with food tasting and product knowledge testing) involved preparing a festive object game — an escape room spanning the entire hotel for potential contractors. Our task was to:

  • show the hotel at its best (suites, rooms, conference halls, the lobby, gym, restaurant, etc.)
  • create an engaging storyline that would capture guests’ attention and let the hotel’s beautiful spaces shine almost as a side effect
  • help integrate representatives from different industries

Festive company event – preparation:

LOGISTICS: An extremely important aspect of this event was to prepare everything in good taste and take care of every detail. The participants of the game were potential contractors of the Radisson Blu Hotel, so everything had to perfect, without any room for error. After all, it was a very original idea to present the hotel’s offer and show the facility in the best possible light. We had to arrange our client’s space without permanently interfering with its structure and, at the same time, ensure that the participants of the game fully immersed in the atmosphere. It was also important that everyone took part in it at the same time. Accordingly, we planned the routes of each group around the hotel so that each team would start from a different location.
CHRISTMAS COMPANY PARTY
SCENARIO AND PUZZLES: While working on the general concept, we took into the account that this is supposed to be, first and foremost, great fun for our client’s guests, and the hotel tour itself should take place completely in passing. The main purpose of presenting the Radisson Blu Hotel ***** was to be hidden under an engaging storyline. We decided, therefore, to combine Christmas traditions with the concept of a mysterious hotel guest.

The guiding concept was therefore Santa Claus, paying a secret visit to the hotel and leaving puzzling clues for the players. Guests followed the trail of the friendly bearded gentleman, touring the entire venue along the way and “accidentally” discovering everything Radisson Blu has to offer. The finale was a chest full of gifts for the players, followed by a wonderful spread prepared by the hotel’s fine chefs.

Christmas company event – implementation:

Preparing this event, from the initial inquiry to running the game, took us a month of work. We wanted to get every detail right. The festive storyline about Santa Claus staying incognito at Radisson Blu Hotel ***** turned out to be a great idea. The guests invited by our client fully immersed themselves in the hunt for the clues left by Santa. Well, let’s be honest — even serious adults have a bit of a child in them. We’re glad we managed to reach that playful, carefree side and deliver such an enjoyable, engaging experience.

The group consisted of 24 people, so we suggested dividing it into four groups of 6 who participated in the game at the same time. We arranged a separate route for each team, meaning they came across different clues during their “investigation” and started in different places. All this was done so that the teams did not bump into each other or disturb each other while having fun at the same time.

Each group visited the same locations and faced the same puzzles, just in a different order. This gave everyone an equal chance of reaching the hidden gift. Claiming the festive treasure took the teams about an hour, and the effort was crowned with a delicious spread, where for another hour the players swapped stories from the game and asked the Radisson Blu Hotel staff about the hotel’s services.

Christmas company party – results and summary:

Preparing and delivering this project for Radisson Blu Hotel brought us a lot of joy. It was a very interesting challenge for us, and we’re proud that we managed to achieve our goals so well and present the hotel in such an original way.

We’re also delighted that we managed to draw “serious people” into the whirl of festive fun and bring them so much joy. Projects like this fit perfectly with our mission. We were also thrilled by what the hotel’s Director said about the game we prepared: “it satisfied even our clients’ most refined tastes”:
