EscapeCity for Schools

Special School Mission: Kraków

Turn a boring field trip into an interactive adventure. Combine sightseeing with class bonding, history learning with new technologies, and soft skills development with pure fun.

Do these challenges sound familiar?

Does your class suffer from “field trip boredom”? Organizing a school trip is a challenge. How do you reconcile educational value with the expectations of a generation raised on smartphones?

Glued to screens

Students are present in body but their spirits are in their phones. Visiting monuments is an “unpleasant duty” for them, and the guide loses the battle against TikTok.

Passive education

Knowledge passed on in a traditional way “goes in one ear and out the other.” Lack of engagement means that little remains in their heads after the trip.

Lack of team bonding

Students walk in the same subgroups. The class is divided, and the trip does not build team spirit or teach cooperation.

OUR SOLUTION

Edutainment in practice – learning by experience

At EscapeCity, we don’t just “guide”. We recruit students for a secret mission. We use game mechanisms (gamification) to sneak in historical, cultural, and linguistic knowledge in a way that engages 100% of their attention.

Technology they love

City games on iPads with GPS and AR (Augmented Reality). We speak the language of youth, using tools they know and like.

100% Safety

Keyless rooms (Open Door system), full monitoring, Game Master supervision, and certified installations. Student safety is our priority.

Soft skills training

Our games force cooperation. Students must communicate, share tasks, and think logically to complete the mission.

Capacity for the whole bus

We handle small classes and huge trips (even 280 people simultaneously). No one waits in line – everyone plays at the same time.

English lesson

Possibility to play scenarios in English. The perfect combination of fun and practical language learning in the field.

Comfort for teachers

Teachers enter for free! We provide delicious coffee, rest, or active participation in the fun – the choice is yours.

Our Formats

Choose an adventure tailored to your class

Regardless of the weather, budget, or location – we have a scenario that will captivate your students.

1

STORY-DRIVEN CITY GAMES (Outdoor)

Instead of following a guide’s umbrella, students receive iPads and turn into explorers. Thanks to GPS and Augmented Reality (AR) technology, sightseeing the Market Square or Kazimierz becomes an immersive field game where monuments are keys to solving the puzzle.

  • LOCATION: Kraków (Old Town, Kazimierz, or Nowa Huta)
  • EDUCATIONAL GOAL: Active learning of history, orienteering, teamwork.
2

ESCAPE ROOMS (Indoor)

A classic form of entertainment loved by youth. Students enter thematically arranged rooms (e.g., pirate, detective), where they must cooperate to find the exit. It is an intense lesson in logic in safe, controlled conditions.

  • LOCATION: Our stationary center in Kraków
  • EDUCATIONAL GOAL: Logical thinking, group communication, working under time pressure.
3

MOBILE GAMES AND ESCAPE ROOMS

Can’t come to us? We’ll come to you! We bring chests full of puzzles, props, and electronic equipment, turning your gym or corridor into a great game center. You save time and money on renting a bus.

  • LOCATION: Your school (gym, sports field, assembly hall)
  • EDUCATIONAL GOAL: Integration of the entire school, healthy competition, fun without travel logistics.
4

 CITY GAME IN YOUR TOWN

Do you want students to rediscover the history of your city? We will create a dedicated field game in your town! Just as we did in Dobczyce for 280 students – we will develop a route, puzzles, and a plot based on local heroes and monuments.

  • LOCATION: Your town (any place in Poland)
  • EDUCATIONAL GOAL: Building local identity, getting to know the “little homeland”, region promotion.
5

ONLINE EDUCATION

A modern lesson that takes place in a web browser. Students, controlling avatars or solving puzzles on the screen (e.g., based on readings like “Alice in Wonderland”), develop digital competencies without leaving home or the computer lab.

  • LOCATION: Remote (home) or school computer lab
  • EDUCATIONAL GOAL: Digital competencies, reading comprehension, out-of-the-box thinking.
What will your students learn?

This isn’t just “skipping class”. It’s intense training in future competencies in a form accepted by young people.

Cooperation (Team Building)

Success is impossible alone. We teach that the leader is just as important as the analyst.

Logical thinking

Connecting facts, data analysis, drawing conclusions under time pressure.

History and culture

Kraków legends and historical facts served in the form of a plot intrigue, not a dry lecture.

Foreign languages

Choosing a scenario in English is the best practical language lesson in a natural environment.

Orienteering

Working with a map, GPS, and compass in a safe urban space.

Healthy competition

Team ranking teaches fair play principles and dealing with both winning and losing.

What participants say

Real voices after missions that truly make a difference.

Traditional Field Trip vs. EscapeCity

See the difference between passive sightseeing and an educational adventure that engages 100% of the class.

Ordinary Field Trip

Passive crowd: Students drag behind the guide, listening to a monotonous lecture.

Fighting phones: The smartphone is the “enemy” that distracts from sightseeing.

Theoretical knowledge: Dates and facts that “go in one ear and out the other”.

Isolation in cliques: Students stick with their best friends; the class remains divided.

“Boring, Miss”: Complaining about sore feet and asking “are we there yet?”.

Misja z EscapeCity

Active Agents: Students discover the city themselves, solve puzzles, and make decisions.

Technology as a tool: Smartphone/Tablet is essential equipment to complete the mission (AR, GPS).

Learning through emotions: Knowledge gained during the game and competition stays in memory for years.

Real Team Building: The game forces cooperation with different people, integrating the entire class.

“Can we go again?”: Excitement, flushed faces, and pride in solving the puzzle.

FAQ

Yes, EscapeCity games combine learning and fun, which is defined as “edutainment”. Students develop soft skills, such as logical thinking, communication, and teamwork under time pressure – and in a practical way, without getting bored.

No. Teachers receive a ready-made solution – a full trip scenario with logistics and program. Our games are an engaging attraction where we facilitate organization and eliminate the risk of teenagers getting bored.

Safety is our priority. City games and escape rooms are adapted to the age of participants, and everything is supervised by experienced Game Masters. In the case of on-site escape rooms, the doors are open, we have marked safety buttons, and the Game Master monitors the game and is in constant contact with the group via walkie-talkie.

Adventure scenarios are interesting, the plot and diverse puzzles keep students engaged all the time and make them feel like they are taking part in a real adventure. They are the heroes, taking on the role of an agent, detective, or treasure hunter.

In the Gamescape escape room, each team will have 65 minutes to solve the puzzles; with the introduction and conclusion of the fun, you will spend up to 1.5 hours with us. As for EscapeCity city games, we have scenarios for 2 or 2.5 hours, depending on the selected route and scenario.

Just write to us via the order form, providing the number of people, students’ age, and a convenient date and start time. You will receive an attraction proposal with game regulations. Then, after the decision is made by the Directorate, parents, and students, we will ask for a deposit payment by bank transfer for 10 or 20 entry tickets depending on the group size. On the day of the school trip, there is a surcharge for the actual number of people playing with us.
